It’s that time of year again – the time when happy couples celebrate and singles are left with their tubs of chocolate ice cream.

“Unfortunately, that’s the cliché so many are worried about when they’re single on Feb. 14, so often folks will run frantically into the arms of the next person who’ll have them, rather than taking some much-needed alone time,” says Certified Life Coach Sherry Brantley.

“It’s precisely when you’re alone that you can reflect upon WHO you are. Additionally, it’s a perfect time to consider the type of relationship you may want to create in your future, honing skills in areas people would like to develop and traveling, taking up a hobby, or learning a new craft, during their single-dom.”

This may be a good time for you to “renew your vows,” or your resolutions, from the New Year, she says.
